自1995 起到最近 2011 的溫哥華 SIGGRAPH , Eddie 已到訪過SIGGRAPH 無數次 , 也到過日本橫濱市的SIGGRAPH ASIA , 對 SIGGRAPH 極為了解, 是SIGGRAPH 的專家 .
1 . Get a Full Conference Pass and immerse into this wonderful event. If you are a student, first join the ACM SIGGRAPH Membership for current full-time students (USD30), then you will get a big discount!
2 . Do the registration on the first day to collect all the heavy stuffs like DVD, books, mug, T-shirt..etc. (it is good to have a cart). You know it is not a good experience if you are carrying a lot of heavy stuffs when walking around different conference halls and exhibition. (( Registration Location: Ground Floor, Harbour Road Entrance - Sunday 11 December 14:00 - 18:00 ))
3 . Watch out all kinds of user group meetings during the SIGGRAPH, beside the timetabled user group meetings, special announcement will be available on the exhibition floor. You could goto your favourable hardware and software booth and ask them. And check their web site.
4 . Must Go!! - "Technical Papers Fast Forward"
Just use an hour to glance through all technical papers regarding the latest CG development. It's just like glancing the index of a book, and you could pick what you like to see later on.
5. Must Go!! - "Electronic Theater Screening (Computer Animation Festival)"
This is the best time to appreciate and enjoy the world's best CG & animation on big screen, and experience SIGGRAPH.
If you don't go, please don't tell others that you have been to SIGGRAPH.

Bill Buxton is the ex-Principal Scientist of Alias|Wavefront - the origin company of Maya. His talk is quite knowledgable and enojoyable.
10. Good to Go! - "Technical Sketches Fast Forward" Monday, 12 December 19:30 - 20:15 | Theatre 1
Just use an hour to glance through all technical sketch regarding the latest CG development. It's just like glancing the index of a book, and you could pick what you like to see later on. BTW, if you goto join the "Technical Papers Fast Forward", why not stay in the same place to have a glance.
11. Good to Go! - "Exhibition"
To experience SIGGRAPH, you have to go to Exhibition. There are lots of technical talks and demo on the latest off-the-shelf software and hardware. It is a good time to catch those technical or sale guys to answer your question and make networking. Of course, you may get a lot of free gifts too.
12. If you have nothing to do - "Animation Theater (Computer Animation Festival)"
Well, if you or your friend have bought the Computer Animation Festival DVD, don't waste your time there. Go visit other conference, talk and exhibition.

在SIGGRAPH場內的Merchandise Store有不少精品讓參觀者購買，例如杯、T-shirt等，而當中 SIGGRAPH Video Review DVD 最叫人期待， 這幾張DVD收錄了該年SIGGRAPH的Computer Animation Festival 部份作品加上Electronic Theater的精選影片 。這由十多年前的VHS到1999年起推出的DVD一直到今日 ，都是收藏的佳品， 而到了2008年，隨著SIGGRAPH ASIA 開始而推出了 亞洲版的Video Review DVD .
