一連四日的SIGGRAPH ASIA 2013 經已結束 , 今年CGVisual.com (CGV) 首次參與展覽 , 而參展目的就是希望能夠讓來到參觀的朋友了解到我們香港的CG製作 , 故此展位內我們特別設置一個小型Gallery , 展出了七位本地創作畫家的精彩作品 。 而在展位中的46吋大電視，則不停地播放著本地 CG製作單位的最新公司作品 。 感到高興的是不論牆上的繪畫作品還是電視上的公司影片都吸引了不少參觀人仕跓足觀賞 , 甚至有興趣查問有關的製作單位 !!

今次CGV展位的重點之一是邀請了數碼水墨大師 - Dr Nelson Chu 為我們坐陣 , 分享最新的研發 , 同時他亦代表CGV 在 ACM SIGGRAPH HK 展位中發表演說 !! 這個數碼水彩項目吸引了很多來自不同地方的參觀者 , 除了跟Nelson作交流外 , 更讓他們了解到這個百份百本地研制的數碼水彩系統所帶來的新轉變。

除了展示本地的CG製作實力 , 由於到來參觀的人仕也有不少來自本地或鄰近地區 , 我們亦希望大家能夠透過CGV Booth看到更多不同地方的新技術 , 故此我們今次展位的另一重點是邀請到Next Limit來到 示範及與參觀人仕交流有關著名的液態模擬軟件 - RealFlow 及 Maxwell Render 的相關技術。

同時間我們不希望展位只是單向的發放資訊 , 我們希望更多與參觀者的互動 ， 所以在CGV展位中放著一座 Wacom Cintiq 22HD Touch , 好讓參觀人仕即席繪畫 ,當畫家完成作品以及經評審後還可得到紀念禮品一份 (Wacom BAMBOO Styus) 。 我們的展位也提供了不少贈品 , 例如Waom 及CGV 的原子筆 , Adobe 的notebook及Door Tag , 大量的CGV PostCard , 還有wacom 優惠 . 以及大量糖果供應....

SIGGRAPH ASIA 轉眼間便完結了 , 縱然有點衣衣不捨 , 亦要再次感謝眾多參觀人仕來到我們CGV展位。

State-of-the-Art Digital Watercolor Demonstration & Sharing
with Dr Nelson Chu

• Based on the MoXi technology, we built a new watercolor simulation system that combines intuitive interaction with real-time fluid simulation to give a digital PoMo-style painting experience. ‘PoMo’ refers to two common techniques in Eastern ink painting. Because the virtual ink flows according to the simulated physics, artists can make use of their real-world experience to understand and predict the result as they deposit ink spontaneously onto our electronic painting surface or tilt the surface to direct the flow.
