I think your animation can be improved. the main problem is that your character is lacking of weight. I notice that for your walk cycle, your hip only rotate on the Z-axis and didn't really drive the legs to move. try to breakdown the walk cycle and your will notice there are 5 key poses for a single step. examine those 5 key poses carefully and you will note how each body parts move. that way your hip will be driving alot and your character will have more weight to it. do more sketches and this will be your first step for improving your motion.

Happy that your appreciated my 2 cents.
Try to get all the 12 animation principle into each post, which is very hard even for master.
Because as I can tell that walk cycle is very difficult to do, ask any animator and they will said "ahhhh, walk cycle".
I also think that your timing and spacing is too even, which make the texture of animation goes flat. Put in try to vary them with ease in and out where appropriate.

Cool~ you're telling the point!!! (i was totally forget the 12 principle....)
I was animated from a real man walking video, i think was it be too flat / i missed many details ??

if mimicling from live video, just remember to exaggerate and really push your poses. It is because human or biped real-life walk cycle is really boring. Sketch each key poses and push the pose to your limit and DOUBLE IT, then you will have your interesting poses.

Before you go into the craziness of the 12 animation principle, you need to study the body mechanic first, when is the pelvis goes up, goes down, and how the upper torso counter rotate...etc.

This may not be the best example, but it's a good starting point.

If you are serious about animation, check out the following book, I'm not sure if you can buy it from Hong Kong, but this is a must have for people who are serious about animation:

I know the basc body movement only, and the principle will made the character alive~

Great! I really suggest you to get it! To me, there are only two most important principles, which is Poses and Timing. All the other squash and stretch, overlapping, staging...they are all proper pose in proper timing. Study body mechanic in slow motion, feel the timing in real time, and keep practice.
