The third edition of SIGGRAPH Asia's Computer Animation Festival presents the year's finest achievements in computer animation and visual effects by artists, designers, researchers, and scientists from around the world. A distinguished international jury reviews hundreds of submissions and selects the best of the best. |
SIGGRAPH ASIA 2010 電腦動畫節 - 大會今年收到來自世界47個國家共761份作品。 當中 40% 是來自亞洲地區 ，而相比去年所收集的作品更上昇達34 %之多。
在會議及展覽會其間，大會舉行多場動畫放映 - Animation Theatre ，作品多達 82 套，其中 7 套動畫來自南韓本土 。
而在演講廳每日只映一場的Electronic Theater 就是精選了 26 套來自10個國家的 Best of the Best 動畫。

Best of Show Award : Poppy (NEW ZEALAND | 2009 | 10:54)

Poppy is set on France’s western front in World War One, two New Zealand soldiers
are trapped behind enemy lines. Th ey fi nd a baby in a muddy ditch, under its dead
parents. One of the men wants to save it - the other does not. Based on true events,
Poppy was written by the great-grandson of one of these soldiers.
